Jennifer Gulbin
Jennifer Gulbin joined Ritsema & Lyon in 2019 as an associate. A native of Scranton, Pennsylvania (home of “The Office”), she earned her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Bucknell University, graduating cum laude. She then moved to Olympia, Washington, where she built a successful career in workers’ compensation.
After three years as an adjudicator with the State of Washington, Ms. Gulbin transitioned to the private sector, where she worked closely with employers and retrospective rating groups as a third-party administrator for nearly 15 years. In that capacity, she represented the interests of her clients before the Department of Labor & Industries and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA). Ms. Gulbin participated in countless mediation conferences and took numerous cases to appeal. She personally represented her clients in hearings if she determined that she could prevail without an attorney. In fact, one of the cases she won without the assistance of counsel was deemed a “Significant Decision” by the BIIA and has been cited in numerous cases since. These successes inspired her to obtain her law degree.
Ms. Gulbin enrolled at Arizona State University in 2016 and graduated in 2019. Within a few months of experiencing the sun and desert landscapes, she and her husband realized that they wanted to make Arizona their home. Ms. Gulbin is a member of the Arizona Bar Association.
